Roots of Rebellion

"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
He also has rejected you from being king."
1 Samuel 15:23

Partial obedience is not obedience. It is rebellion that turns aside to selfish desires while ignoring the wishes of those in authority over us. At first glance rebellion may appear insignificant, but don't be fooled. The roots of rebellion grow quickly and run deep.

God directed Saul to destroy the Amalekites. When the dust of the battlefield settled, however, Saul and his army spared the Amalekite king and the best of his flocks. With disobedience standing between him and God, Saul tried in vain to explain his actions. He claimed that he saved the best of the spoil as a sacrifice to God, but the true intent of Saul's heart was selfish gain. This one act of rebellion cost him the throne. Years later, it cost Israel the lives of some of its strongest fighting men.

Ultimately, all rebellion circumvents God's control even though its aim is usually directed at human authority. It quenches our fellowship with God and derails His blessings. You may think your rebellion is justifiable, but God never blesses anything that contradicts His will. Rebellion is always at enmity with God.

Ask Him to surface any hidden rebellion within your heart. When you come to Him in repentance, He always responds in love and grace.

Father, please surface any hidden
rebellion in my heart, then help me repent of it.
Let me respond with obedience to
You and those in authority over me.

The first time I heard this verse, I saved it in my heart's memory card.
Since then I put all my trust in the Lord that whatever happens, it is for His glory.


Then I need not to ask "God, why?" cause He has a plan for me.


Whatever life brings us, God is in control.

Whatever means it could be good or bad things.

This verse had been my strength when I'm down and confuse.

Happy to be back again!!!

2010 Election

I'm happy to be a part of the 2010 election. For the first time, Filipino people experienced the automated election. The process was pretty fast except the "falling-in-line-to-vote" part but the rest, specially the counting of votes was swift.

Since the precincts were clustered, a lot of people, compared to the previous election, were assigned to one classroom.

People started to feel discomfort, stress, and irritated due to the high temperature inside the jurasic elementary classrooms (without any electric fans).

Every after 20 minutes (If I'm not mistaken), we move 1 ruler stick forward. With eagerness, patience and excitement, we were able to fill up the ballot form and experienced the PCOS machine. (^^,)

We started around 08:30 AM and we finished voting around 11:00 AM.

I love it!

For a very long time, I haven't updated my blog.
I don't really want to just leave this blog behind.
Somehow, it has been a part of my life.
Though it may not be as good as anyone else's blog,
still, I love my blog.

Not because I'm proud of it, but because of those people who left their heart-warming comments that keeps me going on.

I may be very busy for now, but I promise to get back as soon as I'm done with all the school stuffs.

STOLEN.

When: Monday, November 9, 2009.
Where: Open Laboratory.


I'm surfing the net late this afternoon. After I have finished my assignment in Installation, I went to the Information Technology Services Office (ITSO- few steps away from openlab) to save my file (cause we are not allowed to insert USB device in the computer lab to avoid computer virus). So I left my bag on my chair and went to the said office.

When I got back into my place, I'm about to check the time on my cell and I found out that it was not inside my bag. I checked it twice. I even asked my friend if I lend it to him (cause most often than not, Im having a memory gap) but unfortunately, he said I did not lend it to him.

I still don't want to think that it was stolen, until I realize that my MP4 was missing too. The music player was just right beside my cellphone. That's the time that I really have to accept the fact that my gadgets were STOLEN!

I felt really upset. I never thought that a fellow student can do such crime.

The cost of those gadgets was never the issue, but its the sentimental value that really matters.

I just prayed that, that would be the last moment who-so-ever student steals.
Now, I have learned my lessons:

-Never leave your things unattended for what-so-ever reason.
-Don't assume that everyone is trustworthy.
-There's no permanent in this world.

Never-been-done-before List

So many years had passed, still, there are some things in this world that I haven't tried.

Here's my List:


1. Pay Electricity/Telephone Bill


Hindi pa ako nakapasok sa loob ng meralco or ng PLDT. Sa maniwala kayo o sa hindi.

2. Ride a Single-Motor Bike
Kahit angkas lang hindi pa din ako nakasakay sa SINGLE motor.

3. Airplane Ride.Kahit domestic flights man lang.. Pero I know someday makakasakay din ako ng airplane at gusto ko sa tabi ng window.. hehe.

4. Ship Cruise.

Kahit tiga-Malabon ako, at madaming bangka dito, di pa ako nakasakay sa malaking barko. Yung bumabyahe ng malayo.

5. NBSB (no bf since birth) member.



Hindi ko pa na-try magbotfriend up to this moment. Yaan nyo a-update ko kapag meron na. papa-celebrate ako!! haha.
